At LASACO, we have built a
top management team, which reflects a well-rounded blend of
professional skills, experience and qualifications while
emphasizing gender and expertise diversity. All our 9
members of top management include the MD/CEO, ED,
DGM (Technical), DGM ( ENTERPRISE RISK MANAGEMENT &
COMPLIANCE) ,DGM ( PLANS AND PROGRAMMES), AGM ( CS/ LEGAL
ADVISOR), AGM (MARKETING), MD/C.E.O ( LASACO LIFE) and AGM (
ACCOUNTS AND FINANCE) have degrees and professional
qualifications in either one or more of the following
disciplines: Insurance, Law, Accounting, Business
Administration, Finance, Marketing. All the members of top
management have also had varied working experience in other
Insurance companies honing their skills and rising to key
positions in those organizations before joining LASACO.
They thus bring a wealth of experience and expertise in
performing their respective functions.

Mr. OLUSOLA OLATAYO LADIPO-AJAYI
(GROUP MANAGING DIRECTOR)
|
|
Mr. Ladipo-Ajayi began his Insurance Career in 1973 at
Sun Insurance Plc, where he rose through the ranks to
become Assistant General Manager (Technical
Operations). He was admitted into the Associateship of
the Chartered Insurance Institute London in 1983.He
later became a Fellow of the same Institute and the
Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria in 1991. He was
appointed Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of
Summit Insurance Company, Lagos in 1993. He moved to
LASACO Assurance Plc in the same capacity in May 1996, a
position he holds to date.
He is a strong believer in continuous Professional
development. He bagged a Master Degree in Banking and
Finance from the University of Ibadan in 1986, which was
followed by a Bachelor of Law Degree from the University
of Lagos in 2000. He became a Solicitor and Advocate of
the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2003.
Mr. Ladipo-Ajayi is a Past President of the Chartered
Insurance Institute of Nigeria. He is on the Academic
Board of the West Africa Insurance Institute, Banjul,
Gambia and he became the Chairman of Nigeria Insurers
Association (NIA) June 2010. He is also the current
Chairman of the Council of Bureaux, ECOWAS Brown Card
Scheme.

MR. E.B. WRIGHT
(EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR)
|
|
He is the Executive Director of LASACO Assurance Plc. He
graduated with second class upper in French from the University
of Ibadan in 1979 before joining the National Insurance
Corporation of Nigeria in 1981. In 1983 he qualified among the
very few as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute
London and became a prolific lecturer within the Industry on
Professional topical issues before qualifying as a Fellow of the
same Institute in 1990. In 1991, he qualified as a
Chartered Insurer and became a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance
Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) in May 2002.
While in NICON he acquired vast experience in peak risks
insurance and worked assiduously in the contractor’s All Risks
Division of NICON before moving in 1984 to the Oil and Gas Unit
of NICON where he garnered further technical expertise in this
specialized field for over ten years and managed the
sophisticated accounts of NNPC and the Multinational Oil
Companies. He was further privileged to head the Life & Pension
portfolio of NICON from 1995-1998, where he handled the pension
schemes of major Parastatals, Ministries and in particular the
Unified Staff Pension Schemes of Federal Universities, Colleges
of Education and Polytechnics in Nigeria.
Based on the Technical expertise acquired over the years in both
the Oil & Gas and Pension portfolios, Babajide has carved a
niche for LASACO in responding positively to the emerging
opportunities under the local content policy in the Oil & Gas
sector as well as the New Pensions Act 2004. With over 25 years
experience in the Industry, Babajide Wright has attended several
international energy and pension seminars, courses and workshops
and has
an excellent working relationship with frontline International
Reinsurance Brokers.

MRS. O.M.O. KAZEEM
(DEPUTY GENERAL MANAGER, TECHNICAL)
Mrs. Kazeem holds the Higher National Diploma in Insurance
(1987) from Lagos Polytechnic and a 1999 Masters Degree in
Business Administration (MBA) from the Lagos State University.
She qualified as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance
Institute London in 1989. Prior to joining LASACO, she worked at
different periods in NICON, Everyman Insurance Brokers Limited,
the Lagos State University (LASU) and the Nigeria Agricultural
Insurance Company (NAIC) where she gathered technical
experience.
Her built-up experience in the above companies readily put her
in good stead to manage effectively the Ikeja Branch Office of
LASACO, which she handled with effortless ease. A very
conscientious top management staff with proven technical track
record, Bisi Kazeem has undergone both local and International
Seminars and Workshops to widen her technical knowledge
particularly in the peak risk areas of Engineering, Oil &
Gas Insurances. She is the Deputy General Manager (Technical) of
LASACO Assurance Plc and a member of the Professional Insurance
Ladies Association (PILA).

MRS. I. A. ADEWARA
(DEPUTY GENERAL MANAGER,
ENTERPRISE RISK MANAGEMENT & COMPLIANCE)
Mrs. Adewara holds the Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology
from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile -Ife in 1988. After
graduation she trained for three years with the then Coopers &
Lybrand (now PriceWaterCoopers) and qualified in 1993 as an
Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of
Nigeria. She worked with Credit Lease Ltd and Boulevard Finance
as Company Accountant before joining LASACO in 1998 as the
Senior Manager Internal Audit.Mrs. Adewara qualified as an
Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria in
2004. She was promoted to the position of Deputy General Manager
( Internal Audit) in 2008.
She assumed the position of Deputy General Manager (Enterprise
Risk Management & Compliance) in 2011. She is a very hardworking
top management staff of LASACO, Mrs. Adewara has attended many
local and International Seminars and Workshops on Accounting,
Insurance and Management. She is a member of the Professional
Insurance Ladies Association.

MR. O.A. POPOOLA
(COMPANY SECRETARY/ LEGAL ADVISER)
Mr. Popoola obtained the LL.B (Hons) Degree from the University
of Ife, Ile-Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) in 1987. He was
called to the Nigeria Bar as Barrister and Solicitor of the
Supreme Court of Nigeria in 1989. He started his career in the
Legal Department of Union Bank of Nigeria Plc after which he
left for active legal practice (Advocacy) in various reputable
law firms. He joined LASACO Assurance Plc in 1991 pioneering its
Legal Department. Due to his versatility, he also heads the
Admin departments as well as the Company’s in-house Registrars’
Department.
He has gained a vast knowledge of Insurance Law Practice and
Corporate Governance through experience spanning over a period
of 15 years and through several training courses both locally
and internationally. He is currently serving as the Secretary to
the Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA) Legal Committee and is
an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (AMNIM).
He is a student member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries
& Administration. (ICSA).

MR. LUQMAN ABIODUN DOSUNMU
(DEPUTY GENERAL MANAGER, PLANS & PROGRAMMES)
A
1990 graduate of Insurance from University of Lagos also holds a
Masters Degree in Marketing from the same University (1993). He
became Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria
(1995) and LL.B (Hons) Degree from the University of Lagos in
2006. He was called to the Nigeria Bar as Barrister and
Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2007. He became a
Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria in 2008.
He started his Insurance career with the then Tower Gate
Insurance Co. Ltd. as a Youth Corper in 1990 where he was
introduced to the world of insurance. He joined LASACO Assurance
Plc 1991 as a Reinsurance Officer from where he was transferred
to Abuja as a Branch Manager and also overseeing Kano Branch
Office. He was later moved to Ikeja as a Branch Manager in
charge of Lagos Mainland Marketing Operations of the Company. In
view of his outstanding performance, he was brought back to the
Head Office.
In his capacity as the Head of Fire and Accident Department in
the Technical Division, he participates actively in the Oil and
Energy Pool and he is versatile in all technical operations of
the Company. He became the AGM (Marketing) South West Region in
2008, a position he held until he was made the AGM (Plans and
Programmes) in 2010. He was promoted to the position of DGM (
Plans and Programmes) in 2011. He has attended several Courses
and Conferences in Reinsurance, Management, Marketing and
Business Strategy both locally and internationally.

MR. OLADIMEJI OLONA
(MANAGING DIRECTOR/ CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER - LASACO LIFE)
Mr. Oladimeji Olona is a 1992 graduate of Insurance from the
university of Lagos and a holder of Masters of Business
Administration (1999) Specializing in Marketing from Delta State
University, Abraka.
He started his Insurance Career as a Life Assurance agent with
American International Insurance Company (AIICO) and sharpened
his Life Assurance skills while working with Nigerian Life and
Pensions Consultants, Lagos.
He has also worked with other Life and Pensions specialist
houses such as Ideal Insurance Brokers Ltd. Before joining the
services of Elmac Assurance (Nig.) Ltd. as a full Manager in
1999.
At Elmac Assurance (Nig.) Ltd. he rose to the Management level
and he was the controller in charge of Southern Region
Operations, a position he held before joining LASACO Assurance
Group in 2007 as the Head of Marketing operations of LASACO Life
Assurance Co. Ltd a wholly owned Subsidiary of LASACO Assurance
plc and became the Acting General Manager / CEO of the same
Subsidiary in August 2008. In January 2010, he became the
Substantive Managing Director/C.E O. of LASACO Life Assurance
Co. Ltd.He is a multi skilled professional and an Associate
member of the following Professional Institutes: Chartered
Insurance Institute of Nigeria (1996), Nigerian Institute of
Management (1999), Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria
(2007). He is a member of Ikorodu Golf Club and many other
Social and Investment clubs in Nigeria.

MR. SHOBO SAMUEL ADEMOYE
(ASSISTANT
GENERAL MANAGER, MARKETING])
Mr Shobo Samuel Ademoye joined LASACO ASSURANCE PLC In 1993 as
an Officer in the Audit Department of the Organization. He
obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from the
Lagos State University in 1988. He became an Associate Member of
the Chartered Institute of Nigeria in 1998.
He worked in the Audit department till 1995 with responsibility
of ensuring compliance by all departments/branches to Company
Policy. He proceeded to the Technical department and worked in
both the Claims and Transportation departments where he was
saddled with Claims Administration and General Underwriting.
He moved to the Marketing department and started as the Manager
Kano branch in 2000 and became the Regional Controller of F.C.T
and Northern Region till April 2010.
He was promoted to the position of Assistant General Manager
(Marketing) In 2010 with responsibility of coordinating all
Marketing activities of the Company. Mr. Shobo Ademoye has
attended many courses both local and foreign.

MR. ADELEKE ADEMOLA ELUJOBA

|
Mr. Adeleke Ademola Elujoba joined LASACO ASSURANCE PLC in 2010
as the Assistant General Manager (Finance). He Obtained his
Higher National Diploma in Accountancy in 1977 from The
Polytechnic Ibadan.
He started his Accounting Career in 1969 as an Accounts Clerk
with Ministry of Lands and Housing, Ibadan. He worked with
several Companies ranging from the Public sector to Private
sector- Manufacturing (CFAO and Nigeria Bottling Co.) and
Insurance (Great Nigeria and Trans Nig.Ass.Co Ltd)
He gathered a lot of Insurance experience as the Chief
Accountant and Executive Director in Great Nigeria Insurance Co.
Ltd and Trans Nigeria Assurance Co. Ltd respectively. He is an
Associate Member of the following institute: The Institute of
Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ACA) and the Institute of
Administrative Accounting London (AAAI) He became a Chartered
Accountant in 1980.

MR. OLUYEMI LAWRENCE SAMSON

|
|
Oluyemi Samson joined LASACO ASSURANCE PLC on January 2, 1991.
He graduated from Lagos State Polytechnic in 1996 with the best Graduand award in the Higher National Diploma (HND) category
and qualified as an Associate Member of the Chartered insurance Institute of Nigeria in 1997. He has Masters in Business Administration (MBA
) from University of Ado-Ekiti in 2000.
He worked in the Reinsurance Department from 1991 until 1999 before being redeployed as an Assistant Manager to manage the
Port Harcourt Branch Office. He rose to the position of the Regional Controller for the South-South/South-East region in 2006.
He was subsequently redeployed to the FCT/Northern Region Office in 2010 and He is currently the Assistant General Manager for the
ABUJA/Northern operations of LASACO GROUP.
Prior to His employment in LASACO, he had worked temporarily as a Merchandiser in the Sales Department of the Nigeria Bottling Co. Ltd.,
Apapa, between March and September 1990. He was later employed on October 1, 1990 as an Accounts clerk in the CAD,
section of the Accounts department till December 1990.
He has two awards for Productivity that were issued to him by different Management at LASACO ASSURANCE PLC in 1993 and 2003.
Oluyemi has attended several training courses, seminars and workshop locally and internationally.
