In spite of the prevailing situation in Nigerian economic
environment that has forced many insurance companies to deny
genuine claims in the past, LASACO Life Assurance Company
Limited, in line with its tradition of prompt claims settlement,
has recently paid a claim of N1, 315, 000: 00 to Miss Dasola
Fatima Olapade, daughter of Mrs. Afusat Adenike Raheem.
According to a
statement from the company, Mrs. Raheem died 19 months after
taking a life policy of N 5,000 monthly premium and paid N 95,
000 before her death.
While
presenting the cheque to Miss Olapade, the Agency Operations
Manager, LASACO Life Assurance Company Limited, Mr. Oyedemi
urged the public to embrace life assurance for protection and
security of the family and dependants in the event of untimely
death.
This, according
to the company, is to further prove to the insuring public that
prompt payment of claims is the watchword for all insurance
companies and the reason for being in business.
