LASACO Assurance Leads Consortium for Satellite

Lasaco Assurance has proven its mettle as a strong force to reckon with in the Insurance industry. LASACO Assurance emerged the leader of the consortium that insured the recently launched satellites-NIGERIASAT-2  and NIGERIASAT-X.

The satellites were recently launched by President Goodluck Jonathan as another milestone to solve national problems through space technology.

The satellite launch and in-orbit insurance has further positioned LASACO Assurance as a major player in the industry. Lasaco Assurance insured the satellites for the National space Research and Development  Agency (NASRDA). Lasaco is expected to reimburse the NASRDA  for losses as a result of constructive total loss or loss of damage for or failure of the satellite during the coverage period.

Olusola Ladipo-Ajayi, Group CEO of LASACO Assurance Plc said the project underwriting further affirms the key leadership role of the company.
